get to know me: somewhat factual edition

i wanted to have a "get to know me" section here but i'm also digging my current state of relative anonymity here. while that's subject to change, i figured that for now i'd present this section in the form of an old favorite party game: two truths and a lie. each little list here has three items; two are facts about me, and one is a lie.
